Horizon Point emerged in 2021 in Modesto, California in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Jen and Jordan Waters formed the band after playing together as an acoustic duo for many years. They were sick of performing at the same local wine bars every weekend, singing cover songs that didn’t reflect their true musical calling. This left Jen and Jordan feeling unfulfilled as songwriters and artists. The shutdown inspired them to reclaim their punk rock roots and strive towards greater authenticity in their music. Horizon Point was born! The band includes Jen Waters (vocals/sax), Jordan Waters (vocals/guitar), Raul Ontiveros (trombone), Adam Castellanos (drums), and Blake Boetto (bass). All members co-collaborate in the songwriting process, and are multi-instrumentalists, making Horizon Point a truly unique and dynamic group. The band has worked diligently to gain recognition in their local and regional scenes, winning “Best Punk Artist” at the Modesto Area Music Awards in 2023, and have now been signed to Manic Kat Records.

Horizon Point’s self-proclaimed genre of “sad ska” fuses catchy horn lines and off-beat rhythms of American ska-punk, with melancholy lyrics, themes of heartbreak and resilience, and a sprinkle of angst. The band’s multi-genre songs blend punk, emo, and ska together in a way that is fresh, bold, and punchy. The songs comment on modern social problems, giving a voice to those who are oppressed, unseen, and experiencing invisible struggles in today’s world. Jen and Jordan are both licensed counselors and use the band’s music as a platform to break the stigma associated with mental health issues. The songs capture the band’s personal experiences healing from trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and OCD.

Horizon Point independently released their first self-titled EP (2022), followed by the release of their second EP “Midnite Feelings” (2023). They collaborated with the Specialized Project in the UK, and released covers of “Oh Bondage, Up Yours” (2023) and “Billie Jean” (2024) to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust. Horizon Point also released a full EP of Star Wars theme songs titled “Ska Wars: The 4^th Wave Awakens” (2024). The band ended last year with the release of their much-awaited LP, “What If It All Works Out?” (2024). Horizon Point is currently working on their first EP with Manic Kat Records.

The music is loud and bright, the performance is engaging and honest, and the atmosphere is safe and accepting. Like Ghosts is an emo band hailing from San Antonio, Texas, carving out their place in the scene since 2014. With raw emotion and melodic grit, the four-piece—featuring Gage Rodriguez (vocals), Noel Hernandez (guitar), Andrew Saenz (guitar), and Tyler Slatton (bass)—has built a sound that blends nostalgic intensity with modern flair.

Their debut EP, To Feel Like You’re Drowning (2017), released via Third String Records and produced by Cory Brunnemann, set the tone for a career marked by authenticity and growth. The band’s breakout single “I Wish Things Were Different” garnered over 1.6 million Spotify streams and featured a special alt version with Shane Told of Silverstein. Collaborations with genre heavyweights like Kellin Quinn (Sleeping With Sirens) and appearances on compilations by We Are Triumphant have only expanded their reach.

Having opened for a who’s who of post-hardcore and alternative rock—including Sleeping With Sirens, Dayseeker, Bad Omens, and Craig Owens—Like Ghosts has earned their stripes on stage and off. Their emotionally charged covers of “2U” and “Setting Fires” caught the ears of fans and labels alike, while their take on Ryan Cabrera’s “On the Way Down” sparked a real-life collaboration, now set for release under Manic Kat Records.

Currently signed to Manic Kat, the band is pushing into new sonic territory, fusing their emo roots with future bass textures. Their next chapter begins with the upcoming single “Better Now,” the first taste of their evolving sound and upcoming sophomore EP.

All At Once came together in early 2019, with three friends that found a lasting connection in one another.

The band’s debut EP ‘We Got This’ introduced the 3-piece to the world with the singles ‘We Own The Night’ and ‘Break Me’. In just 5 months of the release of ‘We Own The Night’ All At Once made their way into supporting Frank Iero And The Future Violent’s tour in Mexico, receiving attention from outlets like Alternative Press, iDobi Radio, PRS Guitars and Ghost Killer Entertainment.

As All At Once made their next step with the stand-alone single ‘Sailors’, reaching their fanbase to new horizons not just internationally, but also overseas. Adding Forever Halloween and Room 284, the last one helped getting funds together for Dear Jack Foundation in their battle against cancer.

Gaining recognition internationally, All At Once played their way from Texas to California, and supporting artists like Pierce The Veil and You Me At Six along the way.

Manic Kat Records is proud to announce the signing of YEAR OF THE DRAGON, featuring ex-members of legendary ska-punk band FISHBONE! Year of the Dragon is a powerhouse in its own right, having nationally toured and played shows with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bad Brains, Unwritten Law, Dillinger Escape Plan, Hatebreed and many others. They eschew the ska and pop of Fishbone in favor of a guitar-driven punk-metal attack with funk-edges to drive their sound.

“I can’t wait for the world to hear this,” says Jay Armant, co-lead vocalist for Year of the Dragon and former Fishbone member. Says Dirty Walt, also a former and founding member of Fishbone: “With my other band, I had to do things with Year of the Dragon based on our tour schedule while people were asking me all the time, when YOTD was going to release music or come to their city. I wish my former crew all the best in what they’re doing, but now we’re looking to take Year of the Dragon to a whole different level and we believe we’ve found with Manic Kat Records the right team to go forward with.”

With the announcement of this signing, Year of the Dragon is poised to melt faces and scorch stages nationwide. Their first single, Lucifinger, is a hint of what is to come as they prepare for an EP release in the coming months. From drummer Kerim Imes: “We’ve been working very hard on music and shows, and what you’re hearing with the release of Lucifinger is just the start. We want to show our fans that we appreciate their support as we step up to another level, and we look forward to bringing new fans along for the ride as well!”

Amber Pacific, established in 2004 debuted the release of their EP titled, Fading Days via Hopeless Records, an independent label based in Van Nuys, CA joining a roster of bands that included Avenged Sevenfold and Thrice among others. Armed with an EP packed with potential, the band hit the road landing the first of what came to be four consecutive appearances on the Vans Warped Tour through 2007. The band returned to the studio in the Winter of 2004 to begin work on The Possibility and The Promise, their first full length album that would be released on May 24, 2005 going on to sell over 81,000 copies featuring song placements in EA Sports Burnout 3 and Twentieth Century Fox major motion picture, Flicka.

As momentum gained, the band continued to tour year around building a following and landing their first appearance on the Billboard Top 200 at number 64 with the release of their follow up album, Truth In Sincerity on May 22, 2007 which included their first single, Fall Back Into My Life, featured in the Warner Brothers major motion picture, TMNT.

A brief lineup change brought about a new label as well as a new full length record titled Virtues, released via Victory Records on April 13, 2010. Their first single, Three Words, scored yet another placement through Dimension Films major motion picture, Piranha 3DD and found the band performing live on Fearless Music HD in New York City.

It wasn’t long before original vocalist Matt Young returned to the band prior to their 2014 release titled The Turn, released via Digitally Sound Records. The crowd funded release was welcomed with rave reviews as the band returned to their original form as famed Blogger Zack Zarrillo of Property of Zack wrote, “Many of the tracks are bold and brimming with a youthful radiance that will take listeners by surprise.” Add guest appearances by Alex Gaskarth, lead vocalist of All Time Low and the return of Mike Herrera of MxPx on bass and vocals, the record merely accelerated the long anticipated return of the sound that started it all as the band celebrated its 10th anniversary.

To date, the band has accumulated over 110,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, over 5,000,000 streams spanning over 20 years with upwards of 2,000+ shows including multiple headlining runs with music reaching over 100+ countries. Beyond the music, Amber Pacific has partnered with The Make A Wish Foundation to fulfill the request of a longtime friend and fan and participated in The Take Action Tour to promote teen suicide awareness and prevention, recognizing the importance and the platform music has given the band. AP is poised for a breakout year with an impressive 51,000+ followers on their Facebook page on the heels of the much anticipated release of their 5th full length studio album via Manic Kat Records in 2025.
