I Am the Pilot
I Am the Pilot originated in Poughkeepsie NY circa 2005. Even back then The Pilot had the same hard hitting rock riffs mixed with catchy vocal melodies that they have now. I Am the Pilot consists of Chad Gannon (vocals), Todd M Ross (bass) and Joshua Rapala (drums). Currently members of The Pilot live in 3 different cities in 2 different states but still find the time to get together as much as possible to continue writing and playing music as if they are still living in the same area. I Am the Pilot’s unique blend of rock, metal, punk, and even pop have always allowed them to stand out in a crowd with such releases as 2010’s Crashing Into Consciousness, which put I Am the Pilot on the map as a force to be reckoned with. Thanks to their own well-earned popularity, the band has supported several significant bands such as Chiodos, Matchbook Romance, and Bayside. After taking some time off to re-focus on life outside the music world, The Pilot is back and stronger than ever! With the re-release of 2010’s Crashing Into Consciousness through Manic Kat Records, The Pilot feels like they’ve been given a second chance at proving why they can’t be forgotten and they are not taking it lightly. Could 2021 be the year of The Pilot?
